First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at StayinFront.
Machine Learning Engineer
Had a short phone chat about my interest, background, and how things are set up. Then, a technical interview focusing on projects related to the job description and technical knowledge, with questions drawn from the daily work of engineers at the company. Finally, a behavior interview.
- Can you discuss your projects that align with the job description?
Full Stack Developer
I had an initial phone call, and then they invited me for an in-person interview. During the in-person part, they gave me a paper with 5 questions. The first two were about writing Java programs. Then there were questions on SQL Queries and Javascript, followed by HTML and CSS.
- Given three boxes with mislabeled contents ('Orange and Apple', 'Apple', 'Orange'), how can you correctly label them all by picking just one fruit from one box?
QA Automation Engineer
HR reached out multiple times via email for an Automation Tester role, but I initially declined. One day, HR called for a walk-in interview for an Automation role on a weekend. I decided to attend since I had to travel from South Gujarat to Gandhinagar. I was the only candidate that day. The Team Leader gave me a task to complete within an hour, but the provided system was very slow and lagged significantly. Despite the system issues, I worked on the task and finished it after about an hour and a half. The manager asked how long it would take, and I informed him about the error caused by the system hanging. The manager then stated that I would not be considered for the next round. It felt frustrating to be called from a long distance for an interview where only one round was conducted, especially when the office was quite busy on a weekend, which is typically off. Overall, it was a very poor experience.
- They did not ask any questions.
Software Tester
So first we have this Excel Spreadsheet verification thingy, it's to check the Excel functions and how they behave with random inputs. Then there's a Personal round, which is face-to-face with the QA Director. After that, an HR round where there are no negotiations, the salary is fixed and they decide everything. Then, a Meeting with the Managing Director where you just give some background details. Finally, there's the Final Selection where you take the offer letter.
- How would you test a water bottle?
- Tell me about yourself.
- What are your salary expectations?
