I applied to a few postings for the position a while back. After my second application, a recruiter reached out about a month later to see if I was still interested. We set up an in-person interview for the following week since she'd be in town. When I got there, the recruiter came out to ask for my resume because hers wasn't working. I was surprised because I'd asked if I needed to bring anything and was told no. She eventually got it sorted, and we went to a conference room with just couches because no room was booked. The vibe was really weird because we were the same age and it felt like we were just hanging out instead of interviewing for a real job. I got flustered and didn't do great. I got confused when she asked about my past findings because she was curious as she was going back to school. This made it feel even more like hanging out, which wasn't ideal. She was super nice though, and I think it would've been different if I had more experience. The job was mostly cold calling, finding contacts on Google/LinkedIn to call and interview. This is different from other places where they usually have a list of clients ready. Once I realized it was mostly cold calling with little data analysis, I lost interest. The recruiter emailed me a week later saying they were moving on with other candidates. I appreciated her follow-up because many companies ghost me or avoid telling me I didn't get the job.
