First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Statler Hotel.
Team Member
The interview was a 20-minute virtual chat, mainly focusing on behavioral questions. They also asked about my specific interest in the department and my availability. It felt pretty casual, and I got an offer right after.
- How do you function as part of a team?
Server
It was a comfortable conversational interview. They gave a lot of info about the position and other opportunities at Statler. The interviewer gave some background on the company and asked questions related to it. It wasn't too formal, and they were understanding.
- Tell me what you know about Regent.
- Explain why you think this role would be a good fit for you.
- How would you manage in busy or stressful situations?
Banquets Server
I had 3 interviews. The first was a long one with the HR manager about my background and abilities. The next day, I had the second and third interviews. The second one was quick, and they showed me around Mc Cafe and another restaurant nearby. The third interview was with the banquets assistant manager (I think) about my background and abilities again.
- Can you tell me about yourself, your background, and your work experience?
- How do you handle and solve problems you encounter?
- How long do you anticipate working with us?
Meetings and Events Assistant
The interview process consisted of one or two questions about your hospitality background and your expectations for the role, followed by a Q&A session. The whole thing was about 30 minutes. Not many behavioral questions from what I recall.
- What makes you want to apply for this meetings and events position?
