I got this job through a staffing agency, and the whole thing took about 3 weeks. I interviewed for the Specialist role at Berkadia in Secunderabad back in February 2014. It was a pretty standard interview, mostly asking about cash flow statements, balance sheets, and financial ratios. They also asked about the project I did during my MBA. Honestly, it felt pretty easy. After that, there was an HR round where they asked typical questions about my strengths, weaknesses, and why I was interested in joining them.

I had about 2-3 interviews for a fund accounting role, although it wasn't exactly what they were hiring for. They were actually looking for someone for program testing in accounting. The interviews were split into one technical round and the rest were general. A big red flag was that the HR people were really rude and didn't have good manners when talking to me. Also, they weren't truthful about the job they were offering. You should definitely get the exact job profile in writing before you accept anything and make sure you check all the details carefully before deciding to join.
