Legislative Issue Manager
You'll do a legislative bill summary and analysis, then interviews with managers about your legislative experiences. This will take a few weeks. State and federal experience and history are preferred.
- Tell me about your legislative experience and the bills you've worked on.
- Can you summarize and analyze a legislative bill?
- What legislative experiences do you have, particularly at the state and federal level?
Legislative Issue Manager
I went through 2 interviews, one with the director of the legislative team. They gave me a writing assignment that was 5 pages long. I followed up 3 times after sending it in, but they completely ghosted me. Such a waste of my time!
- Tell me about your history of research abilities as they relate to this role.
Legislative Coordinator
So you'll have a panel interview with about 4-5 other people. They'll ask basic questions. You need to know your legislative process; if you don't, you shouldn't be working at Stateside. Be ready to explain your former experience and know exactly what your role will be. If you need more details on the role, just contact the manager you're interviewing with and ask for a quick informal call beforehand. It could save everyone a lot of time.
- Can you describe your previous experience?
Associate
I had a quick phone call first, then I went in for an in-person interview with a group of six people. They asked about my past work and what's on my resume. They also talked about the job and what I'd be doing. A few days after that, a supervisor called me to talk about the salary and when I could start. They were really cool about the start date and even sent me some stuff to look over before my first day.
- Can you describe how you manage stress?
