I got a phone call to schedule an interview. Then I met with the director and two supervisors. It felt pretty friendly and they asked straightforward questions about the field. They wanted to know how my past experience could apply to this role and what I thought about the current state policies for child welfare.

After applying for the Research Analyst role at the Wyoming Legislative Service Office, I first had a virtual interview, then an in-person one. The in-person interview was on the same day as a writing test, which felt like a lot. I wasn't given helpful feedback after not getting the job, and the feedback I did get should have been given before the first interview, not after everything. It felt like a waste of time, especially since I had to do both a writing sample and a writing test.
