Had two interviews. First one had some basic behavioral questions, plus an easy LeetCode problem and a SQL coding challenge. Second interview was about reviewing some code for an API, discussing how to make it more efficient or what might be missing. Also had a task to write out all the methods needed for new endpoints on a specific topic and then map out the data flow for the REST API using Lucid charts.

I sent in my application online and the whole thing took a few weeks. They emailed me to set up a time to go in for a writing test at their place. The test was basically a math test with word problems about child support services, and then a short essay to wrap it up. The day after the writing test, I got an email inviting me to schedule an interview. When I got there, I showed up 30 minutes early and sat outside the interview room. I had to fill out a quick form so they could check my references. I waited until they called me in, and they said I'd get an email either way about whether I got the job.

The interview was a one-hour, in-person meeting with three Social Service Supervisors. It involved long Q&A, scenario discussions, and talking about personal strengths and weaknesses. The atmosphere was professional yet warm and welcoming. Although the questions were tough, there was no judgment on answers. The company seemed genuinely interested in the skills and personality candidates would bring, rather than just filling a spot.
