The process was thorough and lasted 90 minutes. I learned a lot about the job, and they provided a lot of detail. I felt a bit overwhelmed with information, and I think they could have left out some of it. I would have preferred to be interviewed more than talked to.

The whole interview process took ages. Then the next interview part took even more time. By the time they finally offered me the job, I already had another position. I never got any updates on how things were going with my interview.

Applying was pretty easy, and the interview was pretty casual, but it did take a long time to hear back from the supervisor about the position. At that time, it took place within the office, but it may be different now.

Behavioral Presentation

There were two interviews, one with the director of the department and the second with a panel of three. The State doesn't open their positions to internal applicants first so there is a lot of unneccesary work. Often an internal applicant receives the position in a lateral transfer anyway- therefore there essentially wasn't really a position available to the "public." Of course the jobs that are left without anyone transfering are the ones that no one else wants to do!
