The whole thing took about six months from start to finish. Someone reached out to me about two months after I applied. I did a test and then an interview, but then I didn't hear back for another three months. The final interview was with a panel of three people who asked me behavioral questions. They didn't even look at my resume or ask about my past experience and how it fit the job. They just read questions off a paper and wrote down my answers. It was super boring, and the interviewers seemed really serious, like they had no sense of humor. Since I'm a young and energetic person, I got the vibe that the workplace wouldn't be a good fit for me. It seems more like a place for older, less energetic people.

It starts with the state's online application. After some weeks, the director of the office reviews applications and contacts those who are selected. They use an interview panel and upper management reviews the final applicants before making a selection. No tests were given. The agency used a behavioral approach to interviews. They looked at previous job experiences, management level, and since I was hired from within, they spoke with former supervisors.
