The interview involved a board of 4 people: the Director of Nursing, two Nurse Managers, and an HR Officer. They took turns asking questions. It was easy to talk to them, and I felt comfortable being myself. I got the job offer on the same day.

Behavioral Presentation

It was a typical panel interview. They tried out a new format where they asked me to explain how I would handle specific situations or how I gained certain skills. The hiring manager and HR rep seemed a bit awkward asking scripted questions and then trying to turn it into a conversation.

The interview process was straightforward and easy. We scheduled the interview via email. Although scheduled for 30 minutes, I ended up asking a lot of questions, extending it to 45 minutes. It was a smooth and simple process without any tricky or surprising questions. The role was IT Management focused, and the questions covered aspects like conflict resolution, meeting deadlines, team dynamics, managing and building teams, problem-solving, and juggling multiple projects and stress.

So I interviewed with the Department of Public Health for an Administrative Assistant role. It was surprisingly a full hour long. I met with a panel of three people and they took turns asking questions from a list. The questions were repetitive and all behavioral, nothing about my specific skills.
