First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at State & Liberty Clothing Company.
Assistant Manager
The hiring process felt really drawn out and disorganized. The first chat was about 45 minutes, pretty chill. They said I'd hear back in a week, and sure enough, exactly 7 days later, I got a call to schedule the next interview another week out. The second interview was a full hour where I had to pretend I was already in the role – like, greeting people, giving the sales pitch, and closing a sale, all without any real direction or prep. A week after that, so 3 weeks total since I applied, they told me they picked someone else.

The interview process was really unprofessional. They canceled and rescheduled my interview several times, even after I waited 15 minutes for their call. After they offered me the job, I guess I asked too many questions, which were just normal questions I'd ask any company, and they got "spooked" and took back the offer. I've never experienced anything like this and I'm really disappointed with how they handled it.

Sales Associate
So basically right after I applied, I got an email from HQ to set up a virtual interview. It was like an intro meeting, you know, to get to know each other. After that, I went to the store for an interview with the manager. Then a few weeks later, they offered me the job.
- Can you share your experience?
Customer Service Representative
The interview was pretty interesting. My initial phone screen went well. Then for the second round, they didn't seem prepared or like they were still hiring for the same role I applied to. The employees were super nice and personable though.
- Were you open to other roles?
