The hiring process lacked transparency, and it seemed like they were looking for an internal candidate. They mentioned several steps, but then they ghosted me halfway through. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who wants to be taken seriously. The only good thing was that the whole process was remote.

The interview process consisted of a recruiter call, followed by a technical screen, and then an onsite interview. The onsite was a complete behavioral interview with no tough questions, mostly routine. They asked about what I could add to the infrastructure and if I thought I was overqualified. They also asked about negotiation, advice for others, and how I'd handle reporting to a less experienced manager. There was a question about a program I managed that failed and a scenario about negotiating personal life issues, and how to push my agenda with leadership.
