It was a quick and well-informed process, but they could have been more transparent about the steps and how many people are involved in each one. They probably started interviewing before the application period ended.

First, I had an HR screening where we talked about the company, the role, and benefits. Then, I interviewed with the head of the department. We discussed my background and skills, and then dove into current pain points and opportunities. To wrap it up, there was a case study with peers where I had to prepare a presentation on a problem and then answer questions.

I applied for a mobile app developer role and here's how it went: First, they look at your resume and then have an initial chat with HR. This HR call is about an hour long, where they tell you about the company and get to know you. If that goes well, you'll have a meeting with the Head of Department, which also lasts about an hour. After that, there's a theoretical technical interview with the lead. This one is also an hour and focuses on your job description and programming language knowledge. The final step, which is the last hurdle, involves a meeting where you're given two problems to solve in two hours. Passing this last stage means you get the job.

First, there was a phone call where they asked about my past work and experience, then they talked about Starship and asked if I preferred part-time or full-time work, and told me about the hourly pay. After that, I had to do a case study, and then another interview followed. I got rejected after the case study. About six months later, I reapplied because their rejection email said I could apply again in the future. But this time, before any interviews, they emailed saying they decided not to move forward, wanting to give new people a chance. It was surprising because they initially said to keep an eye on their jobs page, but then didn't seem to want to give people who were rejected before another shot.
