I first handed them a resume at a networking event. They called me to set up the interview. The interview itself was over the phone, and I emailed them scanned paperwork. After that first interview, they made me an offer. We talked a little about salary, but it wasn't a big deal.

First, you'll meet with the supervisor you'll be working under for a really basic interview about your qualifications. They'll ask about what shifts and times you can work, usually between 8:30 AM and 8 PM. This interview usually happens after you've already been interviewed by the staffing company that supplies workers to STARS. You'll get a rundown of what the department does and the tasks you'll be doing. You'll also be asked to review the department's rules and regulations, or what's expected of you. If you're hired, training usually starts the same day.
