First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Starpoint Solutions.
Recruiter
It was a pretty easy process. They asked about my past sales experience and seemed easily impressed. I met with the branch manager, senior recruiters, and some company heads. They didn't ask any tough questions. It's a good idea to know who you're interviewing with and check their professional social media. If someone referred you, it should be a smooth experience.

Senior Software Engineer
started with a telephone interview, then a group panel interview. After that, there was a background check, credit check, drug screening, fingerprint screening, documents signing, and benefits review. I also had an office meet and walkthru. This was followed by a client presentation and client interview. There were 2 interviews with the client, each with 6 people. It was a tough interview, I traveled from NJ to Boston for the face-to-face interview, which lasted 2 hours.

Project Manager
Starpoint reached out to me about a role they were trying to fill for their client. I had two calls with Starpoint, and then three phone and four in-person interviews with the client company. After being told I was a finalist, and after my last interview, I waited weeks to hear back from Starpoint. The account manager and recruiter were both out of office at the same time and didn't reply to my calls or emails. About a month after my final interview, I contacted someone in HR at the client company to get some feedback. They said the job was still open and Starpoint should have updated me. I've accepted other job offers, but I thought Starpoint's lack of communication, even just to say they were waiting on client feedback, was unprofessional. They did a poor job of communicating throughout the whole thing.
- Can you share your experience with Agile Scrum methodologies?
- Have you previously managed project resources located internationally, specifically outside the US?
Technical Writer
Reached out right away after applying. They asked some general questions, nothing too difficult. Didn't send the promised info about the job, and I wasn't told when to expect a call back.
- What are your salary expectations?
