I applied for the job and then got asked to do a one-way video interview. I chose not to continue because this whole process gave me the ick. I'd rather talk to a real person than record myself answering questions. It doesn't feel very welcoming and honestly seems a bit lazy on their end.

I had several interviews digitally. First, I talked with the recruiter/HR, then I met with about 3-4 managers or people in upper management. They asked me about my background and why I'd be good for the job. Everyone was nice.

The interview process with STARK was really smooth. Even though it was a multi-stage process that can sometimes feel overwhelming, all the people I talked to were very approachable. Starting with HR, then the VP of Showrooms and Product Integration, and finally my direct supervisor, each interaction felt like a casual conversation. Of course, there were interview questions, but they seemed genuinely interested in me, my career aspirations, and my personal life. It was actually an interview process I was excited to move forward in, and I was very happy to receive an offer.

I had a phone screen that was about 30 minutes long. The recruiter was really nice and we had a fun conversation. It went smoothly and she seemed genuinely interested in learning about me. She followed up with an email about a week later. Since I couldn't commute, it wasn't the right fit. Even though I didn't get an offer, it was a positive experience, and I'd suggest Stark Carpet to any creative people!
