Sales Development Representative
I had a zoom meeting with the sales manager. He's building his SDR team and wants recent grads. It was a chill, chatty first interview.
- Can you tell me about your background?
Sales Development Representative
The first step is a chat with the recruiter to talk about who you are, what you've done, and why you're interested in Straburst. Then, you'll have a meeting with a Sales Manager to dive deeper into your background and answer some behavioural questions. After that, you'll chat with an Account Executive about the tech world and more behavioural stuff. Finally, there's a challenge to complete.
- Describe a situation where you encountered a difficulty in sales and explain your solution.
Sales Development Representative
The process was really slow, dragging out over 2 months. It included one interview, then a long assessment centre, followed by two more interviews, and finally a case study/interview to prep for. All that effort for a rejection email 2.5 weeks after the last round, which honestly showed a lack of respect for candidates, even in the final stages.
- Prepare a case study
- Work on assessment centre
- How would you prospect?
