The interview was a face-to-face meeting. I talked with the Director of Operations and the Manager of Operations and answered questions. We also walked around the houses. It went well when I discussed my construction background.

The interview process involved three conversational interviews. It kicked off with a recruiter screening, then moved to a video interview with the Director, and concluded with an in-person meeting with the Senior VP & VP of marketing and the Director of Marketing. They asked typical interview questions, keeping it pretty conversational, and included a blog post writing task. While I didn't get the offer because my skills weren't a perfect match for their needs, it was a good experience overall.

I applied online and then got an email from the recruiter a few days later to set up a phone interview. The recruiter seemed really bored with her job and the interview itself. She was mumbling the questions, seemed rushed, wasn't very nice, and even yawned while I was talking. She wrapped up the interview by saying she'd pass the info to the hiring manager and I should hear back by early next week. I never did, so I emailed the recruiter, but she never got back to me. Recruiters are typically cheerful and outgoing since they're the first impression of a company. Her lack of interest in her job and the interview was a major turn-off. It's fine with me not getting a call back.

It started with a recruiter screen, then an initial tech screen, followed by a take-home challenge. After that, I had follow-up rounds with both the hiring manager and a senior technical leader. The whole process was quick, and everyone was really open and professional. The challenge was pretty interesting and wasn't too long or hard, but still gave me a good opportunity to show what I can do. Sadly, the offer didn't work out for reasons unrelated to the interview.
