First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Stanford Health Care.
Program Manager
The interview process was very unorganized. There was no recruiter involved; the hiring person handled everything. I had several Teams interviews and then an onsite panel interview where only one person asked questions, and the others didn't say much. After the interview, there was complete silence with no response, making it feel like my time didn't matter. I spent over 40 hours tailoring my resume, answering questionnaires, and preparing for mock interviews and the onsite business case. It was not worth applying because the risk is on you, NOT THEM. It is SO UNETHICAL!!

Program Manager
I applied to a bunch of roles at Stanford Healthcare because they have a great reputation. I interviewed with a couple of teams and was surprised by the lack of a standardized interview process, especially coming from the med-tech industry. I wasn't even given a job description, and the one online was really vague. The interviewers seemed unsure about basic details when I asked questions. They also didn't introduce themselves or make eye contact. It also felt a bit weird being a young, foreign woman in Silicon Valley, as everyone I met, from coordinators to directors, seemed to be in their mid-50s, like a bit of an old boys' club.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
Program Manager
I spoke with the department manager first, then had two more interviews with the leadership of that department. The whole process took a bit, but that's understandable since they were talking to other candidates too. They kept me in the loop about what was happening and answered my questions before and after.
