First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Stage Stores.
Store Manager
The interview process was pretty standard. I had a 30-minute chat with the District Manager. We then walked around the store together and discussed what aspects were working well and which weren't.
- Can you tell me about your previous experience?
Store Manager
First, the DM gave me a phone interview while sitting in her car on the side of the interstate, which was pretty informal and not very professional. The second interview was in person. You should dress professionally and make sure to show you know how to work as a team. If you tell them the store will be your life, you're sure to get the job.
- What is something you liked about your last job?
- What is something you disliked about your last job?
Store Manager
The interview wasn't super technical. It felt like they cared more about my personality compared to other places I've interviewed. I think they wanted to see how I'd get along with them and how much I knew about the role.
- Can you share your past work experience?
- What do you know about managing a store?
- Describe your experience with customer service situations.
