We started with introductions among the participants, then I gave a brief overview of my resume. The team asked questions about my resume, and then I had time for my own questions. Overall, it was a very collegial atmosphere and I had a pleasant interaction with the department management before and after the interview.

Behavioral Technical Presentation Case

The interview process has three rounds. The first round is a phone call where they ask questions about your resume. The second round is a Skype interview via webcam with an employee, where you get a task to solve within 20 minutes. The task was to write a response to a long-term, loyal customer who is currently unable to pay open invoices due to unemployment. The correct approach is to help the customer as much as possible, offering payment deferral or installment payments. The third round is another Skype conversation, this time with three people: a recruiter, team lead, and works council member. Here, they again ask questions about you and your background. You'll be asked what you know about SWM. There will also be tasks with questions like: a single mother doesn't pay her bill after the final reminder, it's Friday, and you have to decide whether to cut off the power starting the weekend... this question is further elaborated... what if the customer is a long-term client... what if not... the customer has a sick child who needs a power-operated inhaler, etc. The answer is: you help the customer as much as you can, but at a certain point, you have to make a decision. You shouldn't let yourself be taken advantage of. You can also request documents for follow-up (medical reports). Another question is, why do you think customers come to the network provider (SWM)? Why should installment payments be made within 12 months? What do you think your daily work looks like? Have you applied elsewhere? Answer 'no' here! I was naive/honest and said I also applied at BMW, but they currently have a hiring freeze. I was also asked what I would do if BMW contacted me? And if I wouldn't find this job too boring since we only supply invisible electricity? I think my answer wasn't sufficient and the interviewers weren't convinced that I find the job at the municipal utility company interesting. Although I truly hoped for long-term cooperation and emphasized this. It's a dream job that one of you will get, I hope I can help you a bit with this information. You work in an open-plan office and have a 6-week training to prepare you for future work. The salary starts at a proud 41,000 Euros per year. After one year, you can work from home twice a week. You are the contact person for Munich's energy supply... electricity, gas, etc. You have various opportunities for advancement. I must admit I was nervous and didn't always have the right answers. But at the end of the interview, I was asked if I would like to work at the Holzkirchen location, if it's closer for me. They also asked if I was satisfied with the salary of 41,000. The training only takes place in November. Based on these points, I left the interview with a good feeling. I was supposed to hear about the decision a week later. Unfortunately, I received a rejection, a standard email. After three interviews, I was really disappointed. After such a long wait, one expects at least a call and constructive criticism. Instead, you're just dismissed. Now, I could also write about how demotivated one feels. But clearly, every person who receives a rejection naturally has no positive feelings about the situation. However, all the interviewers were friendly. But this is just my experience, and I hope this information helps you have a better experience! :)
