First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at St. Regis Hotels.
Hostess
The interviewer focused on creating positive experiences and developing employees to reach their full potential. The interviewer was very friendly and put me at ease. Many employees reported a similar positive experience during their interviews.
- How do you handle pressure?
Guest Services Manager
There are four rounds of interviews total. The last interview is with the GM. Being bilingual is a must, and knowing more languages like French, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Italian, or Cantonese is a bonus. Similar work experience would be great too.
- What makes you want to work for Marriott Luxury Hotels?
Ski Valet
It was a simple and quick interview, lasting no more than 10 minutes. I was rejected, and they didn't give me any reason why. Having a perfect interview doesn't guarantee anything, especially if you don't have experience in these kinds of jobs.
- What are you studying, and why?
- Tell me about your internship experiences.
- What was your favorite part of your previous job?
Engineering Intern
It was a 2-part interview. First, I had a one-on-one with an HR executive, then a two-on-one with the Engineering Manager and the Director of Engineering. Both went really well, just the usual HR chat at the start.
- Can you tell me about your experience?
- Did you encounter any challenges during your studies?
- Describe a situation where you faced a challenge and how you managed it.
