First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at St. Luke's Medical Center.
Staff Nurse
For the initial interview, I had a good experience because the interviewer was easy to talk to and had a kind approach. Their voice was soft and they were very calming to talk to, especially when you're nervous as a first-time job seeker.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself and your family?
- Which three departments would you prefer to work in?
Radiologist
it was not well organized at all, schedule kept changing and it was not professional at all in how it was conducted. really left a lot to be desired. also I told them I did not want to work full time, was applying for part time job and they kept saying I should work full time even though that was not the FTE I was applying for
- about being married or not
Staff Nurse
The hiring process took about 6 weeks for a callback. First, there was an online initial interview with other applicants. The questions were easy. After that, we were told to wait for an email to see if we passed and if we would move on to the panel interview. This was also online and with the nurse managers of the area I picked.
- What was your board rating?
- What was your highest NP?
- What was your lowest NP?
Staff Nurse
First you talk to HR, and then you have a video call with the nurse managers from the area you're interested in. They were nice and friendly. The thing is, you might have to wait for a while to get placed because it depends on whether there's an open slot. So, if you need a job right away, this might not be ideal. You might be put on a pending list for an uncertain amount of time.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Could you elaborate on what you've included in your resume?
- Describe a situation where you had to handle conflict.
