Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at St. Luke's Health System.
Registered Nurse
The interview process went pretty well, and I thought I had landed the job, but later found out I didn't get it. I tried to get some feedback from the hiring manager, but they didn't give any. The HR person wished me luck and prayed for me. I'm still unemployed.
- Could you tell me about your experience?
Registered Nurse
The interview process was pretty straightforward, focusing a lot on your critical thinking skills as a nurse in a real-time on-the-job scenario. They wanted to see how I'd handle situations as the nurse on duty and how I'd interact with the healthcare team. We also chatted about salary and if there were any accommodation options.
- What would be your course of action if you were assigned to an emergency unit during an emergency situation?
- How would you handle interactions with the healthcare team?
- What were your salary expectations?
Registered Nurse
I had a virtual interview that was only with management. I didn't get to have a peer interview, which I would have liked. They offered me the job just hours after the interview. They asked some basic questions to get to know me and then some scenarios and examples from my past experiences.
- Can you share an instance where you had to handle a challenging coworker?
