Application Developer
The whole thing was 2 rounds. First up was a coding test, it was timed and online. They threw some algorithmic problems at me to see how I solve stuff and if I know data structures. The questions were good and fit the job, all about logic and writing clean code. Then the second round was a technical chat with the team. We talked theory and practical stuff, like system design, debugging, and my previous projects. The person interviewing me knew their stuff and made it easy to talk. It was all pretty clear and made sense for the job.
- Questions covered theoretical and practical aspects, including system design, debugging scenarios, and past project experience.
Engineering Intern
The interviewers were really nice and made sure I understood what they were looking for. They asked me questions about stormwater management to see if I knew my stuff technically. I got the impression they were pretty passionate about the environment too. They also asked some standard questions about my goals and why I want this job.
- Can you tell me about your knowledge of stormwater runoff systems?
- What is your experience with AutoCAD?
- What are your goals?
Environmental Scientist
Applied in July, interviewed in October. Had a phone interview with a committee of my future boss, an admin rep, and some future co-workers. It was less than an hour. Got the offer the next day. The interview was about my technical skills and how I would handle different situations.
- Regarding willingness to take on responsibilities beyond your core expertise, how do you feel about that?
Environmental Scientist
I applied and a month later got a phone call to schedule the interview. It was about 30 minutes long and they asked a lot of scripted questions. They were very nice though. I got a call about the job a month after that.
- What were some challenges you encountered in the field and how did you deal with them?
