Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at St. Francis House.
Development Supervisor
The interview process included a phone interview, a one-on-one in-person interview, and a panel interview with four staff members. Scheduling was challenging and often last-minute. I had to follow up a few times because HR didn't respond. They didn't seem good at initiating contact. Despite assurances I'd hear about their decision, I never did. It felt a bit disrespectful not to at least thank someone for their time after a long process and productive final conversations, especially when not offering the job. The interactions with potential team members were great, but the lack of communication from HR was a negative. They also ghosted me on the decision after saying I'd hear from them.

Clinical Case Manager
The application process was straightforward and I was contacted quickly. The interviewers were very nice and professional. We had a good conversation about my background and the role.
- Why are you interested in this role?
Corporate Engagement Officer
First I had a phone call with the hiring manager, then an in-person with them too. The last step was a panel with the team and I met the Executive Director.
