First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SSCG Media Group.
Marketing Coordinator
The hiring manager moved fast and got me through 3 rounds of interviews. Everyone I met was super nice, and the whole process was great. But then, the company went silent and didn't reply even after I sent a bunch of follow-up emails.
- What are your passions or hobbies outside of work?
Multichannel Media Coordinator
The recruiter emailed me a few days after my interview to schedule a video interview. The recruiter gets an idea of your personality that way and then the next day asked about my role. I was scheduled an interview with the VP and Supervisor of the Supervisor of the media department and it was very insightful.
- If you could redo college, what would you study and why?
- What motivated you to apply for this specific role?
Multichannel Marketing Coordinator
I got referred by someone I know and the whole thing took 9 days. First, a HR coordinator from CDM Group called me and set up a phone interview, then two interviews in person at their midtown office. The first one had three interviewers at once, and the last one was just me and a VP. I got to learn a lot about the company culture and what they expect for this job from all these different people. The HR person was great at setting things up fast and keeping me informed. They really emphasized their values (SSCG) and wanted to make sure my personality fit the team.
- What makes you interested in Pharma marketing?
- Can you tell me about your time management skills?
Media Planner
After they reviewed my resume, HR reached out for an initial chat. Then, I had a meeting with the hiring manager and the team, followed by a meeting with the managing partner. They made sure I understood all the expectations for the role. Everyone I spoke with explained the 'next steps' and kept me updated throughout the process.
- Can you tell me about your strengths, what you like and dislike, and how you'd approach specific scenarios?
- Could you describe your strengths, preferences, and how you would handle certain situations?
- Let's discuss your strengths, what you enjoy and don't enjoy, and your approach to handling particular situations.
