Maintenance Technician
You apply online and then an HR rep reaches out to schedule an in-person interview. After that, you meet with a committee (or previously the hiring manager) who will ask some weird questions that don't really matter for the job or your skills.
- Can you explain what a p-trap does?
Project Manager
This interview was pretty fast, it was under 30 minutes. They mainly used my resume to guide the interview. They wanted to understand my skills and how I'd use them for the role. For me, knowing AutoCAD was key, so they asked about my skill level.
- Can you tell me about your long term career goals?
- What skills do you possess?
- How do you envision applying your skills to this specific job?
Administrative Assistant
I had two interviews. Since I had no prior experience right after college, most of the questions were behavioral. They cared more about my work ethic than skills I already had because the software they use is custom and needs to be learned on the job.
- What's your approach when working on a team and one member isn't contributing their share?
Director
The interview was casual but super helpful. I got to meet with my VP and reporting manager. That was pretty much it. It was a chill environment where I felt they genuinely wanted me to do well and succeed.
- Tell me about your job skills, your longevity in previous roles, and what motivates you to pursue this specific opportunity.
