I sent in my resume online and heard back from an admin assistant two weeks later about coming in for an in-person interview. I thought it was a bit strange they wanted me to come in right away without a phone chat first. I asked to do a phone interview to see if I liked the job before coming in for an on-site. They had a really hard time scheduling the phone interview. I finally talked to someone two weeks after that, but they were 15 minutes late to our 30-minute call, so we didn't cover much. I will say everyone I talked to was super nice and pleasant. I decided to go for the in-person interview and met with the VP of Operations and a Sr. Consultant. I liked talking to both of them and was really into the role until we talked about pay with the VP. The salary ranges they offered were surprisingly low for the experience they were looking for. They offered around 45k with a potential 2k-4k bonus for their two-tier consultant position. For context, I had two other offers from similar consulting firms working for MSFT, one for 85k and another for 45/hr (about 93k annually). This might be a great role for new grads, but not so much for experienced people.

So it's a pretty long onboarding, first you apply online, then a phone screening, then an in-person interview. After that, there's a week-long paid onsite training that finishes with a test project to see if you get an initial temp contract. You work on that contract for 1-2 months before they decide if they'll extend a full-time offer. The in-person interview had 3 guys interviewing me - a leader, someone from hiring/office, and another consultant. It went for about 2 hours. The leader focused on culture and fit, the hiring person asked about project approach and time management, and the consultant asked about dealing with emails and some general stuff.

I got referred by someone I know and heard back from the recruiter in a day. Had a 30 min call with the recruiter, then after 5 days, another phone interview with a delivery manager. This was followed by a 2-hour MS teams interview with a delivery manager and a director. The whole process was great and I really liked it. The recruiter was super helpful.
