Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SproutLoud Media Networks.
Marketing Assistant
I applied online and got an email from SproutLoud. First, we had a group interview with 5 other candidates and 2 interviewers. Some questions had time limits, and we took turns answering. It was pretty chill, more for getting to know each other than a deep dive into experience. Next, I had an individual interview with two hiring managers.
- Tell me, what's your most cherished film?
- In three words, how would your closest companion characterize you?
- Could you explain what a database is to a third-grade student?
Marketing
This company uses TopGrading techniques and it's tough to get hired here now. It took me about 4 weeks to get hired. First, there was a group interview to see if I'd fit the culture. Then, I filled out a detailed application that took 30 minutes and asked more about my work history than a resume. After that, I had a job/skill-set interview where they asked about my skills and how they fit the role. This interview was 3 hours long, and I met other team members. Finally, I set up calls with my references, and they contacted everyone.
- Given some of the company's current challenges, how would you approach solving them?
Marketing Assistant
The interview process included a group interview where candidates were asked some fun questions. Two interviewers read questions and typed down answers. If you passed the group interview, you were invited for a one-on-one interview. The one-on-one interview was not great, the interviewers were unprofessional. I felt like they hadn't read my resume, and some questions were pretty offensive.
- Tell me, what is your favorite movie?
- What's one strength you possess?
- What's one weakness you have?
