First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SpringPoint Technologies.
IT Recruiter
I was contacted by Springpoint through LinkedIn about the IT Recruiter role. After applying, I had a phone screening, followed by two in-person interviews. During the final interview, they indicated they were close to making a decision and would inform me the following Monday. After two weeks of silence, I inquired about the decision. They said it was imminent and they'd let me know. A month later, with no word, I accepted another offer.
- What prompted your departure from your previous job?
Recruiter
The interview process took about two months. Initially, communication was quick for setting up phone calls and interviews. After the first in-person interview, it became difficult to get feedback. The second in-person interview was unconventional; we went for a pedicure, which felt awkward and unprofessional, but I went along to see if it was a test of flexibility. Then, they invited me to their home office in Tulsa for another interview, a two-hour drive each way. The interview itself lasted only an hour, with no office tour. Both interviewers seemed rushed; one left midway, and the other was busy with emails throughout. I left feeling very confused after the long drive back. Throughout these interactions, the questions were repetitive and seemed unrelated to the actual role, like asking about other job applications or interviews. Finally, I received an email, not a call, stating they were moving forward with other candidates. I replied thanking them and asking for feedback, given the time invested, but received no response. I hope this experience isn't typical for a professional recruiting service and that they can improve their process.
- Are you exploring other job opportunities?
Recruiter
I applied on LinkedIn and the recruiting manager got in touch for a phone call, which was pretty relaxed. After that, I had a video call with two of the lead recruiters, which felt more like a vibe check. The next step was a job offer, and they usually take you out for coffee to extend it.
- Are you comfortable working with job metrics?
