It was a two stage process. The first stage was a group interview where I was asked mostly personality questions. None had anything to do with my technical skills. I got a callback about two weeks later where I interviewed with the owner and two managers. One manager spent most of the time talking about himself. They said I'd hear back in a week. Four weeks later, I got an offer letter via email with no intro call. The salary was extremely low. I tried to call to negotiate and ask questions about benefits, leaving messages and calling back days later. I pointed out the salary was extremely low for market standards and that time off was not included. They were hesitant to acknowledge the low starting salary and called the time off omission an "error". I got a revised offer letter a day later with a small increase in starting salary and meager time off. It was a frustrating process. I thought it would be better than my current part-time gig though... I was wrong.

I sent in my application online and then heard back about two weeks later. They invited me to a group interview with the management/director team. It was kind of like speed dating, where each pair of managers/directors asked several questions. After that, I went in person to interview with the president and the director of retail.

I had a one on one talk with the store manager where we discussed my general experience and capabilities. After that, I spent an hour walking with the owner, talking about many things. They ended up offering me a job that involves both sales and training, saying I could bring more value to the company than just the training role.

It was a small group setting where we rotated asking general questions about you. The process was relaxed and it felt like the company wasn't really interested in hiring at the time. The company is small and I think they are trying to save money by hiring consultants instead of having a full-time staff member. Another thing is the company is similar to what Apple already offers.
