The hiring process was really open and I felt supported throughout. They answered all my questions and laid out the 3-step interview process and what they expected. I had to do a short exercise to show my skills and knowledge. They kept me in the loop about what was happening next.

So first they did a CV review to see if my skills matched what they were looking for. Then, I was invited to a group Zoom meeting with other people who wanted to be mentors. We got an overview of the interview process and how we'd work with the students (our mentees). It was a pretty good introduction to Springboard and their business practices. After that, I had a one-on-one interview with someone from their team. We started with introductions and talked about who we were and what the job would involve. The main part of the interview was a 5-minute talk on a topic I chose. It didn't have to be technical, and I couldn't use any aids like slides – just talking. This was clearly to check if I could explain things to the students. We were told about the 5-minute lesson requirement beforehand so we could get ready.

After applying online, the recruiter initiated a seamless process. The interview journey involved four stages: a recruiter phone screen, a written skills assessment, a verbal skills assessment (simulated phone call), and a final Zoom interview. Passing the written assessment led to the verbal one. The final interview included four interviewers and the recruiter, discussing various job-related topics. The interview style was conversational, focusing on specific examples from past work experience. The company offered a quick turnaround, and I received an offer three business days after the final interview.

It was a long process. First, a 30-minute call with a team member who mentioned a deliverable. Then, another 30-minute call with a recruiter. After that, I got a deliverable that was supposed to take 2-3 hours, and they were also assessing the questions I'd ask to complete it. The team member responded after 3 days on a Sunday evening. Finally, I was invited to a 2-hour interview loop with four people. It started 15 minutes late, and the interviews were back-to-back, spilling into each other's time. It was very chaotic and stressful from my perspective.
