The interview was really weird from the start. The interviewer kept trying to quiz me on resume details, like exact start and end dates for jobs. He also let another candidate just walk in for an interview during mine, which was awkward because that guy had to wait outside. Even with that going on, the interviewer seemed to like me and told me to call back the next week to check in if I hadn't heard anything. As I was leaving, the other guy was leaving too, making it weird again. The interviewer made comments about being proud to interview tons of random people, which was odd. When I called the next week to follow up, he sounded confused and said he thought he'd called me the day before. I was shocked and told him he hadn't, and then his tone just went flat and he said he'd already given the job to someone else. I said okay and thanked him. It was super bizarre and unprofessional.

I went through 3 parts. The first step was a phone interview with someone covering my prior work history. After that, he wanted to set up a video interview with someone holding the same position but with more experience. That went fine, we exchanged numbers, and I was told to reach out if I had any questions. I sent two texts, one to thank him and was told this is a "family", the other asking a question about the position to gather more info for prep. The final step was another video interview on Friday afternoon with the same person, which went fine, nothing difficult was asked. I was told I would hear back by the next Monday or Tuesday with next steps, offer or not. They said they "understand" the career search and treat everyone like "family". All lies, I was ghosted and never heard back.
