First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Spring Arbor University.
Alumni Relations Coordinator
I applied online and they got back to me a few weeks later to schedule a phone interview. The interview itself went really well and was super pleasant. However, weeks later, the interviewer actually called me just to let me know they decided to go with someone else. Honestly, that felt a lot more hurtful than just getting a simple rejection email.
- What is your perspective on the importance of alumni to a university?
Admissions
I had a phone interview, then a group interview, and finally a one-on-one with the VP of Enrollment. They really explained the job and the organization well. Since I went to SAU for undergrad, I already knew the school, which is helpful because this job involves selling the school to prospective students, so you really need to know it.
- What makes SAU stand out in the higher education landscape?
Office Manager
It was a very relaxed and casual interview process. I felt like I had the job before we even finished talking. The office has a very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. They foster hospitality because they bring in people from all over the world.
- Tell me about your experience in office management.
Assistant Professor
You'll have to provide a writing sample that shows how you integrate faith and professionalism. Then, you'll be interviewed by the faculty chair, the department chair, a panel of administrators, and finally, the university president.
- What would prompt you to leave this academic institution?
