First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sprig.
Customer Success Manager
I talked to the recruiter first, then the hiring manager, and then a panel of leaders. The last step was a strategic presentation. The whole thing, including getting ready for the big presentation, took about 10 hours. Afterwards, they told me they went with other people and the recruiter wouldn't give me any feedback. The presentation was a deep dive into strategy and they wanted a copy of the slides. Since they wouldn't share feedback, it feels like they just took my ideas for nothing.
- Could you create a presentation, about 10-12 slides, detailing your strategic plan for managing Amazon as their Strategic Customer Success Manager?
- Please ensure your presentation addresses the key objectives previously mentioned, offering specific, practical strategies and suggestions.
DevOps Engineer
The interview process for the Senior DevOps Engineer role at Sprig spanned roughly four weeks. It began with a 1-hour technical screening led by the Infrastructure Lead. This was followed by another 1-hour technical and challenge interview with the Head of Infrastructure. Next, there was a 30-minute cultural interview with the VP of Engineering. The process culminated in a 3.5-hour technical panel, which included four separate interviews covering challenges, systems design/architecture, and cultural aspects. Feedback between stages was prompt, with notifications for the next round arriving within one to two days. I really enjoyed the entire experience; everyone I met was quite welcoming and friendly.
- Questions related to Kubernetes.
- Questions about the architecture of infrastructure.
- Questions concerning networks.
Software Engineer
It was a really well-organized interview process. I got to speak with 4 different engineers and the hiring manager. It started with a chat with the hiring manager, then a coding exercise, and finished with a longer "virtual" on-site. The on-site included another coding interview, one focused on systems/infra, and finally an architecture discussion. A lot of the interview questions were based on real issues the team has dealt with. The whole thing wrapped up in about a week or two. They were quick to let me know about the next steps and followed up fast after the last interview.
- Tell me about coding challenges.
- Can you discuss systems and infrastructure topics?
- How do you approach architecture design?
Sales Development Representative
The first step is a 30-minute Zoom chat with the hiring manager or marketing lead. They'll ask a bunch of questions, it's pretty chill, and you get to ask them stuff too, then they tell you what's next. Then, you'll work on a written mock email campaign and a mock cold call. They'll give you feedback on the email campaign and want to see how you take it, and how you handle feedback on the mock cold call too, doing it a few times. The second interview is a 25-minute Zoom with the hiring manager/marketing lead and a recruiting coordinator. They'll go over your written work and have you do the mock cold call again, multiple times, after giving you feedback. You'll have a chance to ask questions, and they'll explain the next steps. The third interviews involve a 30-minute chat with the VP of Sales and another 30-minute chat with the VP of Marketing. More questions, super conversational, and you can ask them anything. Then they'll talk about what's next. Everyone there is really hyped about the product and the team, just smart, down-to-earth people. They're good at giving feedback that actually helps throughout the process, making sure you're a good fit for UserLeap.
- Can you share an instance where things did not go as planned for you, and describe your reaction?
- Describe a time when things didn't go your way and discuss how you responded.
