Customer Care Associate
I applied online and got a call about two weeks later for a phone screening. After that, I was invited for an in-person interview the following week. I went to the office and was given a laptop in a conference room to enter some information into Google Sheets, which was supposed to take 15 minutes but I finished in 10. I think I was interrupted once to see how I'd handle distractions. Then, a manager talked with me about the job, my background, and why I wanted to work there for about 30-45 minutes. The next day, I heard about potential openings and was told I'd know something the following week. About a week and a half later, I received a verbal offer, which I accepted pending the written offer.
- How do you cope with interruptions?
- Tell me about a difficult customer you had to deal with.
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
Healthcare Administrative Associate
I applied online and the process started about 3 weeks after I applied. I was contacted for a phone-screen that asked questions about my experience with customer service mostly. During the phone-screen I was set up with an in person interview the following week. I arrived for the in person interview about 15 minutes early and while waiting observed the working environment. The environment was multiple desks lined up (3 in a row) and phone call after phone call being made. (I didn't like that you could hear every word being said). The interview was very informal and they have no idea what your background is being that they are reading your resume and trying to come up with questions on the spot. Job title misleading.... It's only customer service.
- How would you make yourself stand out to us?
- How would you go above and beyond for us?
- Tell me about your customer service experience.
Quality Assurance Analyst
It took about a week from applying to get an email to set up an interview. I first spoke with a business analyst, who seemed really nice and enthusiastic, using lots of exclamation points in his emails. After talking with him for a bit, I then spoke with the tech lead. Then, I went back to the business analyst again. I asked about when a decision would be made, and he said it would be in a few days. After that, they asked about my online evaluation, which they were apparently supposed to send before the interview. I did the evaluation at home, and it was pretty easy. I asked again when I'd hear back, and he said a few days. A few days passed, then a week. Even with all the exclamation points, it felt like I had to really push to find out I wasn't selected. Wouldn't it have been simpler to just let me know instead of me having to send a follow-up email a week later?
- What have you done to make the world a better place?
Customer Care Associate
You start with a phone interview to see how you found out about the company and if you're a good fit. If you pass, you head to their Manhattan office on the 11th floor. After getting a temp pass and going up to the waiting area, you'll meet with two or three people, one by one or together. They'll chat with you casually about your resume. It's usually your future manager or someone you'll work closely with. Finally, you'll take a computer test to check your typing speed and accuracy with copying information.
- Tell me about your customer service background and your comfort level with phone communication with customers.
