First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Spotlight (Australia).
Team Member
It was a group interview, really chill, with a bunch of other people. They're just looking to see if you will participate in the group discussions and questions. Be engaged and confident. Listen carefully to what the question/instruction is, and do exactly that. Nothing more or less.
- Why should we hire you?
Team Member
Had a chill sit-down chat, they asked about my past customer service work and when I can work, plus what I'm into outside of work. Also asked how I'd manage customer issues and questions. Talked with the store manager for about 20 minutes.
- How would you manage if a customer complained?
Team Member
They did an in person interview and I gave them my physical resume. It was really easygoing, and they took me around the shop to show me and explain the position and role. They explained the different areas and what the general day to day process is like.
- What hours and days are you available to work?
- How many hours per week can you work?
