Before the interview, I was offered water, tea, and cola. The interview itself lasted about an hour and involved two interviewers. We started with brief introductions of everyone, then moved on to personal questions about hobbies and vacations, and then discussed the role itself. A portion of the interview included a presentation I had prepared on several questions from a task I was given beforehand.

I made it to one of the final rounds for this role but unfortunately didn't get an offer. I tried to get some feedback afterwards, but the HR person never got back to me via email. They just sent a generic rejection email, which felt a bit impersonal considering I went through two rounds.

Nach einer kurzen Vorstellungsrunde gab es ein angenehmes Gespräch auf Augenhöhe. Es wurden verhältnismäßig wenige fachliche Fragen gestellt, dafür mehr Fragen persönlicher Natur, zur Eigenmotivation und Berufserfahrung. Das Gespräch war sehr angenehm, aber leider lagen die Gehaltsvorstellungen zu weit auseinander.

This was the most awkward process I've ever experienced. It involved four rounds of interviews and a lengthy task for a three-month fixed-term contract. The task was directly related to the client and project they were currently working on, which made it seem like they could take ideas for free. After I was offered the role and began negotiating the retainer and trying to understand the scope of work, the offer was unexpectedly withdrawn, an unusual occurrence. They are rushing to fill temporary roles, so asking questions is discouraged; otherwise, the offer might be rescinded. You're expected to accept the low retainer, the vague scope of work, zero professional conditions since everyone is freelance, and the lack of equipment or training. But don't ask questions, or they will react like a child who owns the ball and threatens to end the game.
