First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SPMDesign.
Painter
Had a zoom call to check out my personality and background. Then, another zoom call with the owner for about 30 mins where we talked about my goals.
- What are your 5-year career goals?
Designer
I applied online and sent in my CV and portfolio. First, there was a quick HR chat to make sure I was available and understood the role. Then, I had one video call where we went over my portfolio, talked about design thinking, and my past projects. They also gave me a short practical task, and we discussed the results afterward.
- Could you walk me through your typical design process, detailing how you tackle defining problems, developing concepts, and turning those concepts into things that can actually be built?
Exhibit Builder
The interview process was very quick and straightforward. The Director of Fabrication contacted me and set up an in-person interview for the very next day. I received a job offer soon after.
- Can you describe your previous experience?
- Tell me about some projects you have completed.
Design Engineer
I had a phone call with the CEO, which was pretty cool. He was really into telling me about his vision for the company. After that, there was a meeting with the management team where they mostly went over my resume.
- Can you describe projects you've done that are similar to our work?
