First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Splunk.
Sales Representative
It was a typical sales interview. They started with a screening process, then there were a few different rounds of interviews with the hiring manager, solution architect manager, and others. Overall, it was a solid experience. The only downside is that it seemed like they already had someone internal in mind for the role and were just interviewing externally to meet a requirement.

Inside Sales Representative
The interviewer contacted my current boss without my permission after the interview. They know each other from Splunk. He told her I interviewed and what we discussed. A coworker confirmed this by asking about my Splunk interview, repeating things I said, and mentioning the interviewer told my boss everything. I didn't get the job, and now my current job is at risk. I suspect I was sabotaged. I'd advise against connecting with interviewers on LinkedIn or listing your current employer on your resume if you're still employed there. I don't know if he did it for Splunk or personally, but it was unethical and unprofessional. I wouldn't trust him as a manager. I didn't even apply for the role; I was recommended, then backstabbed by the interviewer and passed over for the job.

Sales Leader
I went through a comprehensive interview process for a senior sales leader position, which was managed with an external recruiter. It involved about 12 interviews over a 4-month period. The people I interacted with were very pleasant and thorough. However, after the interviews, there was a complete lack of communication – no updates, no status reports, and no feedback, not even to the external recruiter. It was quite unusual. I'm not upset about not getting the job, but the silence and absence of any feedback are strange. I've tried contacting the hiring manager twice without any response or acknowledgment.
