First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Splunk.
Sales Manager
It was a pretty typical interview process. It began with an HR interview, followed by the hiring manager, and then a panel interview where I had to give a full presentation of my plan. They were upfront about the steps involved, communicated in a timely manner, and gave me feedback.
- Can you discuss your understanding of the product and the cybersecurity landscape?
- Could you share some details about your previous sales experience?
Sales Manager
The interview process took one month and two weeks, a very long process. It included a screening call with the Hiring Manager, a behavioural call, and a role-play with two people. I was supposed to get feedback, but it was delayed. I reached out to the hiring manager on LinkedIn, and she said she'd provide feedback by the end of the week. After waiting two weeks, she scheduled a 15-minute call for feedback. This is my second time applying to Splunk, and the feedback was the same: they decided to move forward with an internal candidate. I feel it was a waste of my time because I put a lot of effort into the presentation and the process. I definitely will not recommend applying to this company. Don't waste your time!
- Can you tell me about your typical sales questions?
- What are your targets?
- Describe your sales process.
Sales Manager
I interviewed with the Head of Sales Germany and some other people. The phone call with the UK director was very professional. After the third round, I was told I would probably get an offer the following week. No word from Splunk the next week. My follow-up emails got no response either. Only after two months did I get a rejection. This delay seemed very unprofessional.
- Aside from the conversation with the UK director, were there any surprising questions?
