The interview process involves several stages. It starts with an HR representative, then the Hiring Manager, followed by another Senior Program Manager. After that, there's a video interview with seven other people which lasts for a while. The final stage includes a presentation to the hiring manager. The HR team was great and very responsive. After all these discussions, you get a sense if you're a good fit for Splunk, which employs very intelligent and interesting people. I'm currently in the last phase, so no offer has been made yet.

I applied for the IT Program Manager position on November 17, 2023, after reviewing the job description, which included a salary range. Although the upper end of the salary range was lower than my requirements, I found it acceptable due to positive company research. I had my first interview with HR on November 30, 2023, followed by an interview with the hiring manager on December 7, 2023. On December 8, 2023, the HR representative contacted me to inquire about my interview with the hiring manager. I confirmed it went very well. We then discussed the salary, and she offered an amount that was $6,600 less than advertised in the job description. I questioned the discrepancy, and she stated it was the highest they could offer. I declined the offer due to the salary not meeting my expectations, which disqualified me from further steps.

I applied online and heard back from a recruiter about a month later. The interview process involved a Recruiter Screen, then a Hiring Manager interview, followed by a 3-person Virtual Loop, and finally an interview with the VP. This all took place over 5 weeks. The interviews were mostly behavioral. The recruiter did a good job keeping me updated on timelines and doing what they said they would. The overall interview experience was good, but in the end, the only feedback I got was that I couldn't have done anything better and it was a tough decision. This made the outcome feel random. I feel companies should provide more feedback after 5-6 interviews.
