First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Spigen.
Graphic Designer
It was a really fun interview process! I genuinely enjoyed it. The vibe was chill and personable. They seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me and asked me some enjoyable questions about myself. Their office space was vibrant and lively, adding to the atmosphere. It really felt like a fun and modern place to work.
- What led you to pursue a career in Graphic Design?
Database Administrator
I got an email from Spigen HR about an in-person interview at their Irvine location. When I got there, I met the interviewers, who seemed uninterested from the beginning. It felt like being Korean was really important there, and it definitely didn't seem like a good work environment/culture for other people.
- Could you tell me a bit about yourself and a recent project you've worked on?
Graphic Designer
I applied online and got an email for an in-person interview about 2 weeks later. But after confirming the initial interview, they rescheduled three times in three days. I thought that was unprofessional since we confirmed the details multiple times after each rescheduling. The in-person interview was okay, I met with the Creative Director and he talked about the company and its brands and explained the Graphic Designer's role. He was chill and asked a lot of questions about my background and portfolio, and I felt good leaving. Two days later, I got two assessment tests. One was a behavioral test and the other was an SQ ability and aptitude test, which takes about two hours. They sent me a $15 Starbucks gift card for my time, but it takes a couple of weeks for the gift card to be emailed.
- In three words, how would your friends describe you?
- If you were an animal, what animal would you be?
Brand Manager
This was the most unprofessional interview process I've ever seen. After the 1st interview, I noticed they changed the title of the open position to Senior Brand Manager. When I asked about it during the 2nd interview, they brushed it off and said it was about the same. Then when discussing salary, they had the audacity to give a number equal to an assistant position when this is for a Manager position. When I received the offer, the title changed to a Specialist position. When I emailed them to inquire politely, I never got a response. I'm not sure what's going on there internally, but it must be a mess. Beware of this company.
