First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sphera Solutions.
Solutions Engineer
I had a first interview with the solutions engineer and then two case study interviews. The Japan Team’s attitude towards the interview is not good. One of them even said that he is looking for someone who will do all the Regulatory Jobs as he was no idea about it because he is not a “Chemist”. I was bit disappointed because he is one of the senior consultants and how can he effectively manage the team if he doesn’t have the knowledge and is not open to work with the team as he is planning to give all the responsibility to one person without any support. And looking for a perfect candidate knowing that you are not a perfect employee is quite ironic. The global team is very good. I hope they double check their interview process and how the members of the recruitment team are. They are losing ideal candidates because of how some people’s attitude are.

- Can you prepare a business proposal for a software of your liking?
DevOps Engineer
The interview process felt unprofessional given the company's size and how they approached me. It started well with a recruiter screening, and my skills seemed like a good match, leading to a technical interview booked for the next day. However, the professionalism dropped. On the day of the technical interview, the interviewer didn't show up and there was no communication. I had to follow up for days to get a response. Eventually, they cited technical issues, said the interviewer was still having them, and they'd reschedule once sorted, asking me to wait. That's when they ghosted me completely. While I don't mind being told they're not proceeding, the way they handled it left a bad impression.
- Could you tell me about your past experiences?
- What are your thoughts on salary expectations?
HR Operations Analyst
The hiring process began with a brief phone chat with the recruiter, followed by three video interviews. These were with the hiring manager and other team members. My first two interviews went well; the interviewers were professional, and I discussed my past experience and abilities while learning about the company. I got immediate feedback after these. The third interview felt redundant, as they asked the same questions, and the interviewer seemed less informed about my background. They also asked personal questions, which I felt were inappropriate, like my living situation. They said I'd get feedback soon, but it's been 6 weeks with no response, even after I reached out. I found this unprofessional, considering the time I invested and the lack of even a rejection notice.
- Could you share your prior experience using HR systems?
GVP Sales
It was straightforward, with relevant questions asked about global scope and experience. Multiple stakeholders beyond the hiring exec leader were involved. Expect multiple series of interviews and panels. A thorough walkthrough of your background and experience will be explored upfront by a recruiter, then a HRBP, and likely additional stakeholders.
