First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Spero Financial.
Manager
The interview process felt drawn out and unnecessarily complex, with a total of 6 interviews. Several interviews seemed to repeat information. One part felt like unpaid work, outside the usual interview scope. Instead of assessing job-specific skills, the interviews solely focused on strategy and leadership. While the people were nice, the assessment felt inadequate. After the last interview, communication from the hiring manager and HR ceased. A different HR representative eventually called with the outcome. The whole experience was lengthy, unusual, and uncomfortable. I had high expectations, but now I feel like I avoided a bad situation.
- Could you describe your approach to managing a team?
Marketing Coordinator
So, the interview had an HR rep and the Marketing Manager, and it was about an hour and a half. The first hour was pretty much standard interview questions after a lot of small talk, which just made it longer. Then, I had 30 minutes to look at three personas and come up with a marketing strategy for each. It seemed to go okay, but they really lacked courtesy. I emailed them both afterwards to say thanks and ask about the timeline, but never heard back.
- Can you tell me about a time you had to manage deadlines?
Teller
The interview process was great and the interviewers were very professional and informative. I was given detailed information about the position and the company. I would recommend this company to someone who is ready to step into the financial services industry. They gave me options related to the position as well as information for career advancement. They also shared their personal experiences with the company.
- Can you share an instance where you had to make a tough decision and describe the result?
