This is a 3+ interview process. First is a short phone call where they ask if you know why they are calling, brief questions about your background and then they tell you you're not the sales superstar they're looking for. Everyone is told this, but if you don't accept defeat and prove you are a sales superstar, you'll move to the second interview. The second interview is a longer phone call where you have to read chapter 4 of Chet Holmes' "The Ultimate Sales Machine" and give a 4-5 minute presentation on it. Then, they ask personal questions about your background, interests, and values. The third interview is in person. You'll go to an office and be asked the same personal questions as the second interview, which should be easy if you've been honest. Then you'll get the job offer. The key is to never give up; it's a test of how you handle rejection. If you never take no for an answer, you'll be hired.

Behavioral Technical

I applied on-line and the next day received a call to book a phone interview in a few days time. The interview questions were standard and reasonably easy (a bit cookie cutter in fact), but the guy who interviewed me showed absolutely no emotion throughout the process and that's what made it difficult. It wasn't like a regular conversation or in person interview--he was completely dead-pan. I'd prepared a few answers to these types of questions and answered to the best of my ability. He told me that candidates who qualify for a second interview will be contacted within a week. I have 10 years of jewellery experience (GIA Graduate Gemologist) and nothing was asked about my previous sales experience/sales style, my knowledge of diamonds or anything related to the position itself.

The process starts with a phone call, then a web chat interview. After that, there's a month-long wait for the background check, followed by a month-long training process. They'll ask about your proximity to the location, your past retail experience, and basically, if you can handle busy shifts.

Had a phone interview first, then an in-person one a few days later. To move forward, they needed to do a background check on my credit and criminal record. After those cleared, I got the job offer over the phone.
