They gave me some sheets with about 25 questions covering general PHP knowledge and technical stuff. They read them out, and I answered each one. It included database questions and writing queries, plus some usage and best practices. It wasn't too tough; the questions were pretty general. If you know your stuff, you'll be fine. I was interviewed by two hiring managers and one developer. One manager focused on my skills and background, while the other was more concerned about gaps in my resume and didn't seem to care much about my abilities. A few days later, I checked with HR, and they said the managers disagreed on hiring me. The one evaluating my skills supported me, but the other, focused on resume gaps, didn't. Ultimately, the manager who was interested in my skills hired me, and I've been with the company for over a year. Don't be fooled by the easy questions; the job is challenging but gets easier with time. The company offers great perks like occasional work-from-home days, unlimited vacation (with approval), free lunches sometimes, especially after successful launches, and a packed Thanksgiving meal.

The interview process at this company was quite strange. The interviewers/management seemed unprofessional, and none of the questions asked related to my experience or education. It felt like socially awkward executives were just trying to feel important. I had to actively try not to laugh, and I even considered filming it for YouTube, expecting a competent adult to step in and conduct a proper interview at any moment. However, that never happened. As a result, I politely declined the offer via email to the recruiter.

I submitted my application and then they reached out for a phone interview. They asked me standard fit questions and wanted to know why I was interested in the company and industry. The people seemed friendly and the company seems to have a lot of interesting things happening. Overall, it was a positive experience.

It started with an HR phone screen, then I had a second phone screen with a peer, and finally an onsite interview with my boss. The whole thing took about a week. The company is pretty disorganized, and you could really tell during the interviews.
