First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Spectrio.
Software Engineer
I got a message from a recruiter about moving on, but be careful because it seems they are still just looking at resumes and might not really be interested in interviewing you. They seem to get your hopes up. If there's a problem or missing skill on your resume, they don't seem to check properly before contacting candidates. This is unprofessional and disrespectful, leaving people wondering. If this is how Spectrio works, I'm glad I might have avoided a bad situation. So, heads up to others: recruiters reaching out about moving forward might already know they don't plan to interview you, so read those emails with caution to avoid getting your hopes up.
- Can you discuss your background with technologies used in web development?
Sales Manager
I was contacted by a recruiter and had a really good chat about the job, the company, what they pay, and my background in the auto industry. We emailed and talked on the phone a few times over a few months until we both agreed on a role that would be a good match for me and my experience. The recruiter did a great job staying in touch. Once we found a position, I talked to two director-level people at the company. The interview was about an hour, and it went well; I think I'm a good fit for the job. We had a good conversation, and I felt like we clicked. They said someone would let me know about the next steps. A couple of weeks later, I got a rejection email from Spectrio. They decided to go with someone else, but I really appreciated working with Stephanie, the recruiter. She was great at keeping me informed and helping me find the right role.
- Can you tell me about your experience with automotive dealerships?
- Have you ever sold anything directly to automotive dealerships?
Creative Production Director
The internal recruiter talked to me about my salary requirements first, which was good. I've seen some negative reviews for this company, but I really like their product and I've had positive interactions with them before. I scheduled the interview for the next week. The day before, they sent me a rescheduled invite for a month later. I asked the recruiter about it, and she said it was a mistake and rescheduled again for a few days later. I always prepare a lot for interviews, researching the company, product, and social media. The day before this interview, I got a cancellation notice saying they had already made an offer for the position. Honestly, it was shocking how little respect they showed for my time, especially since many candidates have to take time off work for interviews. A personal email with an apology would have been appreciated. I have a 14-year career, and they treated me like this because they thought they had found their candidate.
- Could you tell me about your salary expectations?
Business Development Representative
I applied online through LinkedIn and was contacted for an interview shortly after, which was a very positive and professional experience. The communication throughout the process was excellent, with prompt feedback after each interview, so I never had to chase them. They sent confirmation emails and made phone calls to ensure I received all necessary information and links for the calls. It was a thorough process that helped ease interview anxieties.
- I don't recall specific questions from my many interviews, but they were typical for a BDR role.
- The interviewers were all very kind and approachable.
