Supply Chain Analyst
First interview was a video chat with someone who wasn't the hiring manager. Had a good talk, got feedback, and was told to expect a take-home project. Got the project on Friday, due over the weekend. I cancelled my plans, worked hard on it, and sent it back to HR. No response, so I emailed HR a few days later to check if they got it. Later got a generic rejection email. I asked the person I interviewed with for feedback, thinking maybe I messed up the Excel part. Still no real answer, just that they found more qualified candidates. Kind of frustrating to waste time on a project when they could have screened better. Would still like actual feedback but I guess that won't happen.
- Can you tell me about your favorite Excel function?
Channel Marketing Manager
I interviewed with the hiring manager, Steve, covering typical marketing and channel questions, and discussing my past and present roles. Steve seemed a bit preoccupied during the interview. I learned that their market focus is solely on Droid devices, as Apple iOS is not a viable option for them. He appeared to be seeking ideas for revitalizing a stagnant market, specifically asking about strategies to boost reseller margins and suggestions for System Integrator programs. I followed up with a written proposal outlining my ideas for improving reseller margins and potential System Integrator programs. Given the position has been open for several months, I'm unsure if they will ultimately fill it.

Territory Account Manager
I had a pre-screen interview with HR and they thought I was a good fit for the Territory Account Manager role in Retail. I have a lot of sales experience in healthcare, which HR noted was impressive. But, when I met the hiring manager, he was really against the idea of my sales skills transferring from other industries. He wanted someone with specific retail sales experience, even though the job description didn't require it. I tried to convince him that my sales skills were transferable, but he was very stuck on my lack of retail experience and didn't want to move me forward. About a month later, a healthcare sales job opened up on their site, and I applied since I have years of experience in that. A few days later, HR emailed to say that position was already filled. I guess I'm glad I didn't end up working for them, they seem very narrow-minded. Just a heads up if you apply, they're looking for someone exceptional for sales.
- How have you met your sales quota in the past?
Coordinator
A job consultant reached out to me and sent my CV to the company. I then had an initial interview with the Director, who was very friendly and explained all about the company and the responsibilities of the new role.
- How adaptable are you to changes?
